the wind dies down and the

birds land on his back porch and

picnic table.  His wife stops

kissing him and then

their youngest son crawls into

the room.  He quickly puts back on

his pants.  The son giggles at the

sea gulls, as his

older brothers fight in the waves.  Their

mother tells them to come inside

because she thinks that they are

playing.  Their father sees a

lightening strike the island

on the other side of the bay and

he yells with adjusted gravity.  The

younger of the combatants is crying,

but the older one hasn’t given up.
